NITROUS OXIDE SEDATION

Nitrous Oxide Sedation

When children are highly anxious and fearful of dental treatment and refuse to sit for a long dental treatment, Nitrous Oxide Sedation may be administered.

What is Nitrous Oxide Sedation?

Commonly known as laughing gas, Nitrous Oxide is a mild sedative agent that effectively manages pain and anxiety during dental treatment. In the sedation process, Nitrous Oxide is mixed with oxygen and inhaled through a small mask. Your child will then be asked to breathe normally and the effects will be felt within minutes.
